Welfare Units

Under the new CDM (Construction (Design and Management) 2015 regulations, a greater emphasis is placed on the provision of welfare facilities on construction sites. All sites of any size must ensure there are adequate facilities for the number of workers on site and are appropriate for the type of work being carried out.

While the standalone portable toilet, washing or changing room is an established industry standard, a new range of purpose-built, multi-functional facilities are increasingly the favoured option.
